Ramos allows Real Madrid to continue flying!

Real Madrid beat Getafe last Saturday at El Coliseum (0-1), thanks to a header by Sergio Ramos. Even if they just scored once, the merit of this victory relies on the fact that Getafe have been the only one able to beat FC Barcelona this season, and they have a reputation of being hard to beat when clashing with the big ones, although this time their performance did not particularly stand up, only their goalkeeper, Moyà, shone among the others thanks to his saves.

It was really cold and windy, and Mou´s men manage to control the game from the start on. It was in the 17th minute when Özil corner kick was transformed into a goal by Sergio Ramos. It was very similar to the one Carles Puyol, FC Barcelona´s captain, scored against Real Madrid when they played against each other on the first leg of King´s Cup. But, anyway, with this only goal Real Madrid dominated the scoreboard and took control of the match.

As usual, when Real Madrid is around, controversy always arises. Even though Getafe did nothing extraordinary, there was a penalty that the referee clearly missed. Pepe hand-balled in the penalty area, but no fault was called.

Mou´s men were unable to score again, and, in fact, they were impatiently waiting for the referee´s final whistle. Getafe, on the other hand, showed to be very shy against Real Madrid.

¿Why? ¿Was it the cold weather, lack of energy o referee´s performance? Again, controversy is served.
